The Sakhu School of Psychology is authorized by the NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors) to offer continuing education credit for reading the Journal of Black Psychology. The Sakhu School of Psychology is an NBCC approved continuing education provider and may offer NBCC approved clock hours for event that meet NBCC requirements.  The Sakhu school of Psychology is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.  Most states accept NBCC approved CEUs for licensure renewal. The JBP is published quarterly. Participants will earn ten hour of credit for each issue of the JBP. Simply read the issue of your choice and pass the quiz with a score of 80% or better. Your certificate will then be emailed to you.


The Journal of Black Psychology is the official scholarly publication of the Association of Black Psychologists. As such it has been the leading source of information on the psychological study of African descended populations for over 35 years. It presents the most innovative peer-reviewed, empirical, theoretical and methodological research on the behavior and experiences of African people across the Diaspora.  Since its inception in 1974 the JBP has led and recorded the most outstanding contributions in the field of psychology toward the understanding of the global African experience. The JBP also offers special features including scholarly perspectives on current events, research briefs, essays, commentary and media reviews.
